SPARKLE CAT HAT

This set will fit an average adult.

Hook size: 7 (4.5)mm

Gauge: 14 dc and 8 rows to 4" using size 7 hook or any size hook needed to obtain this gauge.

Ch 48

Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across (45 dc)

Row 2: Working in Back loop only from this point on, dc in each stitch across, ch 1, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, dc in same stitch, dc in each rem st, turn.

Rows 4-32: Rep Row 3. Do not fasten off after Row 32.

Fold piece in half, lining up the first row with the current row and sl st the seam together.

You now have a tube. Lay tube flat and pick one opening to close, sl st evenly across to close up the hat.

Turn project inside out ,this is now your right side.

The hat can be worn like this, but we chose to stitch across the corners of the hat to create an ear.

Thank you so much for the free patterns for the Cat Hat and gloves. A ? – for the fingerless gloves where it says R4-14, should that be R5-14 and then repeat row 4? I’m not that experienced. Thank you

Crochet Fall Beanies - Life and Yarn,

Thanks for the free patterns you are posting for the 25 Days of Christmas 2016…. If I don’t have time to do them this Christmas Season it will give me good start for next year….plus allow me to make my purchases through out the year. Love shopping with Mary Maxim.

Beverly Grham,

It is a U.S. size 7, which is between a G and an H, 4.5 mm is correct.

Heather Mango,

The hook size is shown as 7 (4.5) mm. So, in US terms is this a size 7 steel hook? Or, is it a 4.5 mm which would be in the neighborhood of a J, if my thoughts are right? I am not clear on the suggested hook size.
