Footloose Sock Yarn
For our pedicure sock, we used our “A Step Above” yarn. This time we will use “Footloose” sock yarn and it’s a little different. Right away you notice it’s has a rougher hand and texture to it. At 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon the blend makes for a soft
superfine weight yarn but still has enough texture to make it a relatively easy knit. If you are new to sock knitting this is a great first-time sock yarn. Footloose comes in six colors red, brown, yellow, blue, multi-color, and pink. This self-striping yarn creates unique patterns for coordinating sock pairs producing beautiful works. We will begin our footloose knit along next week using this
footloose pattern specially written for the footloose yarn. For this knit along, we will be using both video and photos to demonstrate techniques. Due to how easy this yarn is to photograph, we were able to get some detailed shots of our progress. This pattern calls for 5 size 2 (2.75) needles. If you missed our last socktober knit along this is definitely one not to skip. The footloose sock yarn is a great yarn to learn on and makes a wonderful gift project. Stay tuned next week when we will show how we arrange our stitches and begin the ribbing of our sock. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest!
