Using Mary Maxim Aran Irish Twist or Mary Maxim Aran Irish Tweed yarn for the Open Vee Afghan will provide a comfy cozy feeling while guaranteeing durability during both use and washes for many years to come.
Whether you choose to use the Mary Maxim Aran Irish Twist as shown or the Mary Maxim Aran Irish Tweed, this afghan will quickly become a favorite afghan you reach for again and again. The Open Vee Afghan is worked in one panel, taking the knitter all the way from simple knit and purl stitches to the Open Vee lace pattern to three and six stitch cables, topping it all off with the fringe. Measuring a generous 44” by 60”, the Open Vee Afghan allows for you or a loved one to curl up under it and stay cozy and comfy.
As a worsted weight yarn, Mary Maxim Aran Irish Twist or Mary Maxim Aran Irish Tweed both give beautiful definition the cables and lacy Open Vee pattern as well as the rest of the stitch patterns in this afghan and using it shows off the wonderful yarn as well as each element beautifully. The Open Vee Afghan is available as a kit which includes the pattern and enough of your choice of Mary Maxim Aran Irish Twist or Mary Maxim Aran Irish Tweed yarn to make the afghan.
