Handmade Project for your Pets
Our dogs and cats come in all shapes and sizes. Store brand sweaters, cowls, and jackets are often ill-fitted and pill quickly, why not craft your own? This year pamper your pooch with these PAW-sitively perfect pet cowls. We are featuring 3 coordinating and fully
customizable pet cowls. They are perfect for a stroll through the neighborhood or a run on the beach. These cowls were designed for the beginner to the advanced crocheter in mind using a variety of techniques. We were so excited about these cowls we decided to design a coordinating cowl for ourselves too. Its a perfect accent for you and your pet. Stay tuned as we will be adding more sweaters, toys, and other
patterns perfect for your pooch! Our first pattern preview is the basketweave pet cowl in
Mary Maxim Woodlands modeled by Mae shown below.
Join our Woodlands Crochet-Along!
Join us in crafting this
wintery pet cowl during our (#woodlandsCAL) Woodlands Crochet-Along. We were
inspired by our pets to crochet them a set of these beautiful cowls keeping them in fashion this winter. We loved the styles so much we designed a cowl for ourselves that coordinate with our pups.We chose to use the
Woodlands line of Mary Maxim yarn for these active pups. Woodlands yarn is a size 4 worsted weight yarn in a 90% acrylic, 10% alpaca. These pet garments are machine washable and are great no matter if you are taking a winter run along the beach or strolling downtown. This blend makes for incredibly soft garments and the colors of Woodlands yarn line is inspired by the North American landscape.
The Woodlands yarn line comes in Ecru, Flax, Beige Heather, Brown Heather, Denim, Blossom, Plum Mist, Cranberry, Moss, Stardust, and Charcoal. We used an H hook (5.00mm) and recommend purchasing 3 skeins of your primary color (Beige Heather), and 2 skeins of your accent colors (Brown Heather & Ecru) to complete all of the dog cowls and the coordinating bipedal cowl.Upload your favorite pup pic using #woodlandsCAL on Instagram that you like to craft for and tag Mary Maxim to enter for a chance to win woodlands yarn for this CAL.
