Crochet-Along (Week 6)
Kendra Sagash |
Week Six already? This crochet- along is flying by! Only one more week and we will take a break on squares for a week and start working on borders for the squares we have done so we aren't left with all of that for the end. If you are new to the crochet-along, all previous weeks can be found here. This week we will be working with our Color 2, which is Natural for our example blanket, but as we have said before, you can use whichever color you would like. Enjoy!

*There was an error on Square 19. The amount to chain was incorrect and the long sc had a duplicate instruction. Thank you all for having patience with me regarding this. I am not here 5 days a week, some times there will be a delay in response. Thank you so much for participating in our very first CAL. There will be some bumps and there is a learning curve to this, Thank you for helping us along the way!!
Come back next Friday for another week of squares! Be sure to share and subscribe!

Please someone post corrections to instructions for square 19
Maybe I had better skip this square for now, and wait for a correction, going to go onto the next one instead. Not good at winging it, lol!
Now I am wondering if square 19 might be correct to chain 24, and then the error should be 23 sc instead of 25 sc. I wonder that because even when I go down to a size G hook, the square is oversized with 25 sc. Think I will try again, this time assume Ch 24 is correct. And hope that 23 sc is not wrong. For me, the square might be sized better anyway, maybe it is just me.
I believe there is an error in the first square pattern in describing how to perform long single crochet. “yo and draw through both loops on hook” should only be stated once.
I just read the directions for 19, it does sound like we would end up with 23 stitches instead of 25, the way that it is written.
For square 19, I chained 26 loosely. This allowed me to get the 25 sts for row 1 and the correct width for the square.
