Semana 8 de crochet

Crochet-Along Week 8

Kendra Sagash |

Kendra Sagash,

how do you print the directions? I don’t see any print option available thanks

Phyllis Yelle,

Thank you.

Carol,

Carol, Yes the ch 1 is correct. The ch 1 give the height needed to begin the sc. Though it is not to be counted as a stitch. I tried a variant of a possible standing sc, but that was very bulky and odd. This was the only way join and begin. I would be sure to end with an invisible join that may help smooth it out. We currently don’t have a video for the invisible join, just google it.

Kendra Sagash,

Fantastic, That is a great idea!

Kendra Sagash,

Anytime Pauline!! We can’t wait to see what yours looks like!! Be sure to share your progress on our Facebook page!

Kendra Sagash,

I am sorry I did not get your first response, thank you for the answer and how many yards for the all over border at the end.

Pauline,

I am printing out all the directions, might want to long panel versions of favorite squares, someday.

Carol,

I only did two this weekend, because I don’t like the look of the starting corner. The Chain 1 in the directions is correct? That corner sticks out more then the others, for me, something not working out. Thanks!

Carol,

Pauline the total yardage is in the introductory week as well as mine and Heathers response to your first request. The whole thing will average between 2000-2500 yards depending on your gauge. For edging and assembly I would say about 350-400 yards. This is not including the over all border at the end.

Kendra Sagash,

Yes some squares will be obvious which side will go face up, but others just use your creativity to make that decision.

Kendra Sagash,

When designing the over all pattern I had to see how many stitches would be appropriate for the average size square due to the pattern change for each square. I didn’t want one design to be squished etc. There will also be another break/border week around week 13 or 14. FYI.

Kendra Sagash,

Yes it is.

Kendra Sagash,

Just to confirm, that is 124 sc all the way around?

Jill,

It’s actually easier and takes up less time to add an edging to each square as you go. Not wait until the end. Why handle it more than you need to?

George Rupert,

This will be a very interesting blanket when completed. I am keeping track of the patterns for each square and as I am currently in the middle of a different project but will try this one when I am done.
I also noticed that the squares are an excellent size for “dish cloths” so I have tried a few squares to change up the ones I am doing for a church sale. Thank you…
Looking forward to seeing what is next

SJ,
